Project: MetaSpace and MetaMeeting

Goal: To organize the June 23 National Volunteer Meeting not only live in Rome, but also in the Metaverse with Meta Presence® to offer remote participants the opportunity to experience the dynamics of the event in presence in a virtual, immersive and interactive environment.

Description: Several solutions were designed for the occasion, involving participants in multiple moments, before, during and after the event, for a full 360-degree involvement of all guests remotely.

Pre-event: With Meta Presence® a few days before the event, a MetaSpace was set up, a free-access and individual visit space where participants, with their avatar, could immersively view Save the Children videos, learn about the details of the event, and engage with other multimedia content such as interactive quizzes where they could answer questions preparatory to the meeting or a message board where they could leave questions or comments, shared live during the event.

The event: Participants, represented by their avatars wearing a Save the Children branded t-shirt, watched the live streaming of the event projected on a big screen in the center of the virtual Convention Hall. Also accompanying the live stream were the avatars of the speakers who followed one another on the virtual stage at the same time as they spoke in presence. When the meeting was over, however, in the dedicated Networking Room, guests had the opportunity to interface and communicate with all the volunteers present, engaging in conversations and weaving new relationships.

Post-event: In the following days, Save The Children made available another MetaSpace, where participants had the opportunity to relive the event experience through videos and exclusive content.
